elastic vs inelastic

inelastic collisions is when the object sticks together.
elastic collisions is when the object bounces off.
an elastic collision i saw in my daily life is  is a ball bouncing.
and an inelastic collision i saw in my daily life is a car crash
when the cars stick together

phase changes

i saw a ice cube melting it is a phase change
because it changes from solid to liquid.
its transition is called melting. heat energy
was added thats why it melted.

too hot too cold

metal is a conductor
light is radiation
plastic is a conductor
they heat up at different rates because their different materials

doppler rador

Doppler radars are far and away the best tool for detecting rainfall around the area .
They work by sending beams out in a circle pattern around the radar.

interferences

  1. the difference between constructive and destructive interference is when the constructive interference is If the two amplitudes have opposite signs, they will subtract to form a combined wave with a lower amplitude. The destructive interference is when a Sound waves with higher amplitudes sound louder than sound waves with lower amplitudes.one of my examples is noise canceling headphones that is a destructive interference.

standing waves

in todays lab drew the wave then we find the wavelength then we find the frequency then after that we find the speed you find the speed by multiplying the wavelength and the frequency together.
today i learned how to find the frequency and to find the speed of the wave.

no effect

the waves from the telephone because the radio active.
it has no effect because it doesn't bother you.

simple harmonic motion

one simple harmonic motion i saw today was an elevator because it goes up and down.
the second simple harmonic motion is a swing set because it goes back and forth.
the third simple harmonic motion is a bus because it goes back and forth.

electricity generator

i am most interested in the hydroelectric power it works by all the water goes in the turbine which cause the turbine to move to produce energy. one of the pros is it has clean air, large amount of power from one source. one of the cons/ problem destroys habitats.

circuit diagram

we use the symbols so we know what they look like. it makes it easier because it shows how it looks like in the circuit. and it is easier because instead of writing it you can just show the symbol. writing a story would be easier if i write it in symbols.

pretzel circuit

in class we were giving pretzels and those pretzels were electrons and we the students were the current going around and putting the pretzels in the box. by putting the pretzels in the box it was electricity .

no wires world

my non wire world is named wireless world. one way the electricity works is you push a button but one problem is it might catch on fire because there will be no wires which means that there will be electricity everywhere. and another bad thing that could happen is that if the power goes out all the power would go out.

electricity so far

electricity is a form of energy resulting from a current. so far i learned what a current is its a flow of electricity charges materials. electricity is very important because every one uses it .  Im getting better at understanding it. i dont have any questions.

electric vocabulary

electricity is  a form of energy resulting from the existence of charged particles either statically as an accumulation of charge or dynamically as a current.

van de graff

the generator gave static charge. it is behind physics because items rub against each other and remove or add electrons. when something charged comes near the generator the charges move away.
this makes the item act like its charged when it isnt. first you polarize objects then you move them apart then when you touch a charged object and extra charges transfer charging sorce ws.

insulator and conducter

A insulator is a thing or substance used for insulation, in particular. A conductor is a material or device that conducts or transmits heat, electricity, or sound, especially when regarded in terms of its capacity to do this Conductors are made of materials that electricity can flow through easily. These materials are made up of atoms whose electrons can move away freely.

Electric Light

The electricity to light your light bulb comes from the battery - the wire is what the electricity moves through. An important thing to consider is how the battery works, there is a chemical reaction inside that puts extra electrons at the + terminal. When a wire goes from the + side to the - side, the electrons flow through it to go the - side. If your light bulb is in the middle of the wire, the electrons will flow through the light bulb as well, causing it to light up. So to do this in your case, you actually need two wires. One wire will go from the + side of the battery to one side of the light bulb, the other will go from the other side of the light bulb to the - terminal.
